i definitely concur with you on the point of being passionate about what you pursue. if you're not passionate about the job, you should really give the opportunity to others who're passionate about the job.

my "apologies" for not being able to bring back the "gift" for you :( hope your body's feeling better right now:)

kudos for persevering cos most pple prolly jump to their best offers before grad.. somehow there's this obsession of having to have a job secured before u grad.. agree on the leaderless organisation concept for E27.. something touched upon in HR literature.. there's many opportunities for Singapore and Singaporeans in the web media arena and i think increasingly companies are recognising its value.. managing this volatile environment and processing the vast information available is a challenge companies have to deal with..
hope u're recovering well.. am down with flu, cough and sorts myself.. there's some great comments here btw~

there are times in the past when I have used (and seen others use) passion as an excuse for procrastination. this is my greatest fear. Am I waiting for the great things or simply avoiding reality?

I need to constantly validate the fact that I'm in fact passionate about the things I profess to be passionate about.

Think about it. Goodluck.

"...I work for passion, not money nor social recognition of my self-worth..."

To that I'd leave you with this Steve Jobs quote (which you probably know):

"...you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever."

So never settle until you find something that you know you'd fall in love with. Keep the dream alive~

Harish and Kaushic, thanks for the comments. =D You dunno how I love seeing comments when I check back on my blog.

Kaushic, i have a new concept on leadership or rather leaderless organization which I am mulling to change E27 into. Perhaps I will tell you more next time we meet.

Hi bjorn, looks like a lot of us are in same rut. I admire you for what you are trying to do in Singapore. I guess it is all a question of self-belief. The moment there exist a leader, you will have a lot of followers. I think ppl like you should become leaders and take risk and show the way. BTW i couldnt make it to Sentosa too.. cramming for midterms hehehehe...
