[...] http://www.bjornlee.com/2007/04/04/the-most-blog-friendly-junior-college-of-singapore/ Victoria Junior College (VJC for short) has had its student-run blog for a year now! Hurrah for the students who made this happen, their site “Cosiety” has improved by leaps and bound and you can see improvements made to the site design, useability and reader-oriented articles and coverage. I like their Subjectif section: Subjectif is Victoria JC’s weblog of student opinion, mindless ramblings, colourful ideas and chic talk. It’s your finger on the pulse of the life of the college, and is updated weekly by irregular wits, specialist columnists, flowery tongues and sizeable speakers. [...]

I agree that the VJC blog is one of the best out there. They understand the power of blogging.

It is not easy to change people's perception at Hooked. Afterall it's something which I've not been involved in very actively since 2 years ago. I think you know how I've tried to share with them the power of the open web. But it takes time for people to switch out of the mindset that it is simply a school newsletter that you churn out on a fortnightly basis.

Hopefully they will surf the web more, and see what's going on around the world more. Because the potential to turn it into one of Singapore's liveliest and greatest blogs is still there, but you need people who really understand it to run it. (That is not to say the team there is no good, they are good at what they do, except that I feel they might not have the benefit of really spending more time on the web like we do)
